Beach Sessions

Make sure your horse is well-groomed... This includes brushing them thoroughly to remove dirt and loose hair, or our best advice is to bath them beforehand, which will ensure they will look their best and feel comfortable during the session.

Prepare yourself! If you are getting portraits taken with your horse wear appropriate clothing that you feel good in and that compliments your horse. Consider any accessories or props you might want to include too.

Our closest and local beach is at 'Beachmere' this is where our beach sessions are held at!

If you haven't been here before that's okay as we will guide you with directions before your session.

Depending on your type of session here are a few dot points:

• Thin Rope Halter - if you don't own a rope halter then the thinner halter you have the better! This makes it easier for us to remove them when it comes to post-production (editing).

• Lungeline and Wip - this is advised if you are booking our "Liberty" sessions as your horse will be using the lunge line.

• Treats - sometimes it's good as a reward while the session is happening and or to help assist us with getting the horse's attention if our props do not work during the time.

• Props - if you want to try some creative poses bring along your props, outfits etc

Liberty style sessions is when we ask for your horse to be on a lunge line, begining on one side and then swapping to the other after moving through each gate (walk, trot and canter). As your horse is moving we then photograph your horses movements while on the lunge.

Once the session is complete and we begin processessing your images this is where we magically remove all equipment on the horse to make it appear as if your horse is doing "Liberty" by itself.

For these session it is ideal your horse knows how to lunge confidently!
